When you need to download something, you would usually search on Google and sift through the results until you find a proper download link. FrostWire offers a much better solution, regardless of what you need to download. Its LimeWire-based functionality enables you to quickly download data through BitTorrent networks and share it via P2P. Also, the application includes a wide range of useful features, which can make your life easier when it comes to downloading and sharing data.

When running the application for the first time, a wizard will guide you through a few initial configurations, after which you can start searching for the contents you need and download them right away. If you are looking for free music or videos, software or other content types, all you have to do is type in a keyword and let the application search. Alternatively, if you have a URL for downloading something, you can paste it in the same search field.

Search results are listed on separate tabs for each keyword. What's more, the results are neatly sorted into several categories, like videos, audio files, images, applications and so on. Another useful feature is the possibility of previewing video and audio files before downloading them. Video files are played on your default web browser, but audio files can be played with FrostWire's built-in audio player.

Downloaded files are sorted automatically in a library section, on the same user interface. Besides browsing through the files, opening, playing or deleting them, you can also create playlists. In addition, FrostWire gives you access to numerous online radio broadcasts and it allows you to add your own stations as well.
